At the heart of the WOLF Qanawat app is a thriving, human-powered programme that gives our audio platform its unique pulse – WOLFStars. What began as a community initiative to recognise and nurture talent has now evolved into a refined, strategically focused programme, designed to support the very best creators, empower real talent, and shape the future of entertainment within our ecosystem.
This melting-pot of talented performers now produces an average of 2,000 live events a month, reaching an audience of over 844,000 unique monthly listeners. These impressive numbers are a testament to the power of nurturing talent and creating the right infrastructure for them to thrive.
However, our goal doesn’t focus on numbers and scale, rather creating the right harmony between WOLFStars and key Verified Channels (mini communities), where talents and communities grow together. It’s about stronger engagement, better entertainment, and a more connected in-app experience for everyone.
Using insight to evolve our programme
In July 2025, after observing user behaviour and understanding what really resonates on the platform, we introduced a new direction for the WOLFStars programme. This new iteration is built on clarity, focus, and real audience insights, aligning the programme around two core content categories – Podcasts and Talk Shows.
Our ongoing goal is to continue to respond to user trends and demands, and seeing these two formats achieve the highest engagement and strongest audience retention across the app, encouraged us to streamline our categories, enabling creators to specialise, grow, and innovate within formats that everyone truly values.
While the focus is now on Podcasts and Talk Shows, this doesn’t mean we’ve lost the magic of creative diversity. Talents in singing, poetry, or comedy, now integrate their art into Talk Show formats – enriching conversations, performances, and audience experiences in fresh, dynamic ways. And, of course, existing talents remain with us, supported by us, as they familiarise themselves with the new KPIs and evaluation matrix. It’s a new challenge, but one designed for growth, performance, and long-term success.
Talent hunting for hand-picked creators
A major shift has been to actively recruit talent instead of holding open calls to attract applicants. With a fresh focus on direct talent hunting, hand-picking those who fit our content vision, audience needs, and regional representation goals, will ensure the best new creators. In parallel, we’re also introducing a referral system, so existing talents and users can recommend standout voices to enhance the WOLF stage. And, we’re adjusting our evaluation frequency, with previous monthly assessments now every three months, to give creators more time to adapt, improve, and deliver consistently stronger content.
Elevating the experience together
We’ve always highly valued our WOLFStars; they are at the heart of our verified channels ecosystem, driving engagement, enhancing community and creating memorable in-app events. Working together, WOLFStars, verified channel owners and admin teams continue to retain users, attract new audiences, and elevate the in-app experience.
With the evolution of WOLFStars, we will continue to evaluate them across a combination of engagement, content quality, listener acquisition, and gifting metrics to help us shape a healthier creator economy and an experience-driven platform.

One of our core beliefs is that people want to connect with creators who speak their language, both culturally and geographically. That’s why our talent strategy is intentionally designed to ensure representation from across the Arab world. Whether it’s a podcast from Iraq, a debate from Saudi, or a talk show hosted in Egypt – our aim is to reflect the communities we serve.
It’s exciting to see these virtual creator talents becoming real brands, who are emerging influencers with growing digital footprints.
