WOLF is more than just an audio platform—it’s a space where entertainment, interaction, and community thrive. And we’ve recently elevated that experience in our WOLF Qanawat app even further by evolving the previous football hub into a new sports hub, on the back of user demand and growing interest in sport in the app. This is a great example of how we are led by our users and not market trends.
Football has always been a sport that is loved, supported and celebrated globally and within our app. However, over the last year since launch, we have gauged that our hub community is expanding its sporting interests and offerings from a mainly football focus into many other activities, including Taekwondo, kickboxing and MMA, as well as health discussions and nutritional suggestions.
That’s why we recently decided to transform the football hub, which launched in February 2024, into a broader sports hub, taking the community on a bigger, better and more exciting journey, whilst strategically ensuring our community stays engaged, entertained and expanding constantly.
At the moment, there are almost 100,000 sports hub users from the MENA region. These user numbers reflect the focus of targeting new audiences, specifically Iraqi users, and so far we have managed to engage more than 20,000 new Iraqi users since January 2025. We are delighted to be spreading community engagement and entertainment to new territories within MENA.
The success of the sports hub is evidenced by more than 35,000 new users this year. We are proud that our approach to improving one of the hubs in the app has given such impressive results for our current and future users, as well as our vibrant sports community.

This incredible growth didn’t happen by accident; as part of our overall WOLF Qanawat app evolution, after witnessing the steady growth of the original football hub’s community over the last year, we decided it would be a great idea to give our users more ownership to manage and grow the latest proposition, when it became the new sports hub, to make it a more inclusive user-driven platform.
The community has continued to drive the huge success of the sports hub and the community numbers have continued to expand. The approach to changing the focus and improving the hub, garnering more user interest and ultimately growing the community, was driven by several factors.
Firstly, we decided 2025 would be the time to focus on staging as many sporting events as possible, which were created by influencers and content creators. Over 3,500 events have been created so far this year, resulting in driving almost 40,000 unique users into one channel alone.
Part of our strategic app development was to embrace the diversity of nationalities amongst our users and potential new WOLF Qanaqat community members, ensuring the sports featured on the hubs would attract interest and a following from all over the MENA region, beyond our core from the GCC. The mix of new user nationalities reflects this achievement and we look forward to engaging these new communities across other hubs and channels in the WOLF Qanawat app.
The continued desire to offer ever-more to our app users with the best in community engagement will carry on in the second half of 2025, with more exciting developments on the horizon. And, in the meantime, if there’s something new our users would love to see, we are always open to suggestions to help evolve the app to continue satisfying user focuses. We exist to excite and delight our WOLF community.
