Earlier this month, WOLF had the honour of attending the Save the Children Partnership Awards, which took place at the top of the “Gherkin” skyscraper in London.
The WOLF team was delighted to be shortlisted for the Shraboni Award for fundraising partners whose donations go to wherever children’s need is the greatest to achieve the biggest impact. WOLF attendance marks five years of being a proud partner supporting Save the Children, always using creative and unique ways to fundraise for the charity.
The relationship between WOLF and Save the Children evolved from the community fundraising that WOLF carried out for many worthy and deserving causes since the company first started in 2008. Over time, the community feedback highlighted that helping children around the world is an important cause, so Save the Children became the natural charity choice to work with and support.
During the 5 years of supporting the charity, the relationship has developed and both teams now work closely together to devise fundraising campaigns that will have a positive impact. The Save the Children team is incredibly helpful in providing and approving branded assets so WOLF can continue to raise awareness as well as funds from its community for the crucial work the charity does.

Teams from both companies meet several times a year, attending presentations about the Save the Children work at the charity’s offices, as well as some of the awards and partner events. WOLF representatives have even been judges at some of their internal corporate partner fundraising competitions over the years.
The main annual focus for fundraising for WOLF is during the Holy Month of Ramadan every year, since most WOLF Qanawat app users are based in the Middle East and are Muslim. WOLF also provides ad hoc support during the year, such as team members running the London Marathon, to raise money for Save the Children. So far, the WOLF team and its community has raised approximately half a million pounds for the charity; an incredible amount.
The team loves working with the Save the Children team and supporting all that they do, and know that users feel really good about contributing and making a difference too. They are excited to commit to their fundraising efforts continuing in the years to come.

Gary Knight, CEO of WOLF, says: “It’s hugely meaningful for the team to give something back in this way, joining with our WOLF Qanawat community and our teams in London, Newcastle and Amman to improve the lives of children wherever the need is greatest, especially in emergency situations such as areas affected by conflict or natural disasters. The Save the Children team on the ground in those countries put their own lives at risk for the children they support, and it is so moving and humbling to hear about the incredible work that they do. We feel privileged to be able to play a part in facilitating their crucial, often life-saving, efforts.”
The recent Awards ceremony in London was attended by representatives of the WOLF team who felt it was a delight and honour to meet Save the Children UK’s CEO, Moazzam Malik, and discuss what the charity is focussing on and understanding how WOLF can help going forward. The WOLF team was excited to be part of what was a lively and inspiring evening for one of the best causes in the world; long may the wonderful relationship continue.
