WOLF Announces its First Female Ambassador

WOLF announces its first female ambassador

WOLF Qanawat – the first and foremost online audio talent hub in MENA – is pleased to announce Rawan Bin Hussain as the platform’s first-ever female brand ambassador. This announcement embodies WOLF’s ambition to provide the most enjoyable, safe, and friendly online environment that facilitates women’s creativity and empowerment as cultural entertainers in the region.

“As community connectors and creatively talented people, we believe women should be recognized on a platform where they can truly take center stage. That is why we are delighted to have Rawan join the WOLF family. As a singer and one of the most influential social media stars in the Middle East, Rawan’s role as the first female ambassador of WOLF will aid our mission of further developing and showcasing female entertainment talent in the Arab world. Our festival platform offers women, just as much as men, the freedom to creatively express themselves – something that previously could sometimes be out of reach for many Arab females. Guided by our regional teams in MENA, we continue to build out our offering as the ultimate audio content creation space, keeping to the cultural expectations of our users in giving women the perfect place to perform and entertain.”

A fashion icon in the Middle East, Rawan has amassed over 6.4 million followers on Instagram. She is a model, beauty blogger, and music artist of Kuwaiti-Palestinian descent who released her first song on International Women’s Day (IWD) in 2021; it currently has over 61 million views on YouTube. The 25-year-old digital entrepreneur is a single mother and King’s College (London) alumnus who holds a master’s degree in Law.

“I am honoured to be the first female ambassador of WOLF as it is a brand that champions female empowerment in the Middle East and globally. In a world where creativity surrounds us, having your talents recognized is easier said than done. However, WOLF gives women equal opportunity to perform on stage for thousands of people and to receive due recognition while they grow a fan base that they can engage with regularly. As a music artist myself, I am thrilled to be a part of giving women everywhere a platform that facilitates enjoyment and freedom of expression, especially for those of Arab descent. The fact that more than 50% of WOLF’s content creators and audience members are female reinforces the brand’s commitment to MENA women and I am excited to be a part of the journey.”

The 2nd annual Alhan Women’s Talent Festival, which spotlights MENA female talent, was hosted by WOLF from the 8th to the 31st of March to celebrate IWD 2022. The festival included beloved celebrities from the Arab world such as Aseel Hameem, Bashayer Alsabah, Fay Alsharqawi, Nedaa Sharara, and Rawan headlined the festival, appearing on stage in the WOLF app on the 26th of March to congratulate the three winners from the singing, poetry, and podcasting categories, winning a grand total of $20,000 worth of prizes split across the three categories.

The Alhan’s Women’s Talent Festival attracted thousands of female performers for the various categories including singing, poetry, and podcasting. The event witnessed the attendance of over 130,000 new users coming into the app throughout the entire month. WOLF is working with these emerging female talents to induct as many as possible into its WOLFStars talent programme, where creators can produce ongoing content to delight WOLF’s audiences, receiving weekly and monthly rewards which even include cash prizes.

Rawan announced her collaboration with WOLF via Instagram, and will continue to be a spokesperson supporting WOLF’s festival vision and particularly the involvement of its female users. With WOLF being passionate about the advancement, celebration, and empowerment of women as content creators in audio and the metaverse, this partnership will effectively help remove parity barriers and give women their ideal stage.
